Personal Empowerment Through Emotional Intelligence
Even with the best legislative laws and the most qualified counselors, family, and friends who are doing their best to get People with Disabilities employed, it can be like pouring water in an upside-down cup if you do not feel empowered to believe in yourself and your potential.
All people are motivated to fulfill their purpose and develop their character. Only you can turn your cup right-side up to empower yourself. With love and support, the Personal Empowerment through Emotional Intelligence Program empowers you to believe in yourself and in your potential to contribute to society in your own unique way. Our program gives you a hand up to choose the life you want to live and how you want to live it.
You, like everyone else in society, want to contribute and feel a part of the whole human race. Self-empowerment and self-determination are the keys you need to successfully use your strength and abilities to reach your highest potential.
Brenda’s Story
I remember sitting in a chair in my apartment after I had gone blind at the age of 40 — waiting for things to go back to the way they were before. I was scared, lost, and I felt alone. I felt discouraged and isolated, and those thoughts were absolved when I began to accept myself right where I was. Once I accepted my blindness, I was able to see my disability as an asset.
The truth is only I knew how I felt, and I was the only one who could change my life. I started to believe I was capable of achieving what I wanted and becoming the person I wanted to be. I found peace in working through my difficulties. With a grand vision and passion to spare, I aspire to be a bright light in the darkness that often accompanies those struggling with challenges.
I know that sometimes it can be overwhelming to find the resources that are available, but I have walked the walk, and I am passionate to share what I have learned with others.
